weekend plans

Previously I had mentioned that I invited Dad to visit so he and I could go to Cheyenne to catch a rodeo performance or some other entertainment. He had a little spill since further adding to the pain in his knees so he is not too mobile right now. He would like to but his ailments prevent him from traveling far. I hate to admit it but now I’m pouting and sad that we can’t hang out.

I have tickets to see George perform on Saturday night and would have loved to take my father. He can’t get away so my friend has offered to join me. I really hope she arrives with enough time for me to collect her at the airport and drive to Cheyenne. We had a chuckle about what to do with her man, he’ll have to wait in the parking lot for us. Heh! I’m sure he’ll find something to do.

So in prep for the big evening I went shopping for a new top at Sheplers last night. What a big disappointment! I couldn’t find a summer-ish western shirt that appealed to me. I asked the sales woman to direct me to their 20x summer selection and she didn’t know but started showing me other brands. Duh! The other sales woman kept eyeing me and walked past me a couple of times pretending to adjust the hanging apparel. Maybe I fit the profile of a thief? When I started to leave I overheard the suspicious woman saying “you and I, we could take her”. The store was mostly empty but what an inappropriate thing to say in front of a customer regardless of who they are discussing. I didn't run away scared but a weird experince, I’ll have to start going to Corral West or find a Big R somewhere.

gurl... what those unhelpful women don't know is that you most likely can take them both down by your lonesome. sales people like that really irk me. when i am with my hub, i always get waited on much sooner & nicer, too. in places where i am a regular, they know to treat me well because i will spend my money there.

The next time better you go to that shop wearing our glorious black shirt where the suspicious woman can read "don't piss off the Black Knight". Sorry for the rude quote but we took that by a famous joke of the italian actor Gigi Proietti.

Funny how shop staff is usually oblivious to the fact that they actually need customer to keep their shop open. Rude shop staff is the most effective way to keep me away from a shop for the rest of its natural existence.

Enjoy the show!
